WOW I have to say that 2020 and 2021 have been incredibly interesting, which I’m sure you know!
So much has changed in the world, and in the every day lives we all lead.
I feel like in 2020 I reached a burn out I have never felt before, and it has caused me to really reflect on my life and how I really want to live it.
So, first of all, BIG NEWS!
My husband and I JUST purchased a 55 acre cow pasture in Madison County, Iowa to build our dream home on! This is a dream I have had for 10 years, and have been actively working towards for about 7 years. My husband has always entertained my dreams, but about 3 years ago, he started to really get on board as well.
We will be living in our home near Grundy Center until our new home is completed. Not sure if we will start the building process right away, or if we will wait until lumber prices go down. Follow my personal accounts on Facebook or Instagram @Havenanddelight if you’re interested in that journey!
Second of all, I am enjoying taking on less weddings. This year, I have 14 weddings, and 5 of them have already passed. This is the least amount of weddings I’ve had since probably 2016, and after such a crazy 2020, the break is much needed.
Third, I have taken on a much bigger role in my husband’s company, which is absolutely amazing! Despite being together 24/7 anyways, this allows me to see the inner workings of his mind, his brand, and his method, which makes me fall even more in love with him!
So with all this said, I have decided to change up my wedding packages a bit!

2 hours of wedding day coverage with La Rae for a small wedding, great for backyard/micro weddings/courthouse wedding or local elopements

3 hour wedding package, $1,500+sales tax:
Requires 50% non-refundable retainer due to book,. A payment of at least $200 is due at your engagement session. Final balance due 1 week before the wedding.
Includes:
Engagement session (lasts 1-2 hours), which cannot be exchanged for any other type of session. The investment does not change if you decide to forgo your engagement session.

I’m so excited for this shift in my business and I believe it will allow me to serve my couples in a new way, while still giving myself the opportunity to live my life at a more manageable pace.
