On Saturday, August 22, 2020, Wild Soul Weddings owner La Rae and associate Brittany celebrated with Joe and Megan as they promised each other forever!

Megan and Joe definitely did not have an easy road to their wedding day. Coronavirus has undoubtedly had an affect on all 2020 couples, but these two had a little bit more puzzle pieces to fit together than most.

First of all, our first engagement session date had to get changed due to covid + weather. I was finally able to make it to Kansas City, Missouri to meet up with them, and it was practically a ghost town! So many places they wanted to shoot at were closed, but I think we still got some AMAZING photos!

Then they had to change their reception venue TWICE. Yes, the venue they actually had their reception at was their third venue, BUT let me tell you, it was perfect.

I myself have wanted to shoot at the Courtyard by Marriott in Waterloo since they opened because of the cool industrial and historic vibe. The color palate is simply, clean, and there are so many beautiful elements, like brick, concrete, and steel.

So even though Megan called me to tell me they had to change their venue once, and then a couple hours later called me in tears because they rapidly had to change AGAIN, the Universe was looking out for the Jasnowskis and ended up giving them the perfect backdrop for getting ready and their reception.

The Jasnowskis also got married on Megan’s parents’ 33rd wedding anniversary, and Joe’s parents had also recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary. It was a day truly filled with love.
